Arts Extravaganza is a project aimed at adults with learning disabilities that has been running successfully for over 10 years.

Adults from Cae Melyn, Leighton Day Base, Mencap, Rhoslyn and the local community took part this year. They attended 4 days over the summer taking part in 2 days at Severn Farm Pond which is managed by Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust with artists Caroline Lowe, Iris Gordijn and Blue MacAskill, where they made artworks and sculptures from found and recycled materials. The artworks are on permanent display at the Pond along the walkways and in the sensory garden. They also took part in 2 days of dance, storytelling and music with Helen Gane, Sharon Calder and Niall Evans. The groups all worked together to explore each of their chosen artforms and created a short performance work which was shared with everybody on the last session.
