This is one of our long standing annual projects recognised to enhance the curriculum, tackle the child poverty agenda and support environmental education. The project this year engaged with 15 schools from across North Powys and Wrexham. Artists work for 2 days or 4 days in each primary school, sessions this year ranged from: Helen East delivering storytelling at St Chad’s. Sara Jane Harper created some beautiful ceramic murals with Borderbrook and St Pauls, Catrin Williams worked with Banw, Bodhyfryd, Llanbrynmair, Glantwymyn, Carno and Welshpool to celebrate the work and life of Kyffin Williams by creating their own art works, Caroline Lowe used natural materials to create outdoor art works with Bwlchgwyn and Llanidloes, Ali Pickard worked with Bwlchgywn, Arddleen and Guilsfield exploring the effects of plastics on our oceans, created LED sea creatures and murals out of plastic bottle tops.
