Ffilmic Festival is Llanfyllin’s Film and Photography Festival; now in its 10th year. Part of the program is the Take 10 Challenge in which participants have 10 days to make a 5 min film. Blue MacAskill helped us to launch this on Sat 22 Oct with a workshop on film making with tablets and other handheld devices. All were given three secret elements to include in their films. It was wonderful to see people of all ages engage with this project. 8 short films were screened at the premiere at Theatr Llwyn to a captivated audience. It was sponsored by Llanfyllin SPAR.

The Festival

2016 is our tenth year of Ffilmic – a Film and Photography Festival based in Llanfyllin.

We have teamed up with the Llanfyllin Society – together we capture Llanfyllin and surrounding area through the lens and share images and stories.

Ffilmic aims to encourage engagement in film-making for all ages, and increase access to independent and non-mainstream films, as well as informal film literacy education.

Take 10: Film Challenge

Our challenge to create a film within 10 days will be launched on Saturday 22nd October 2016, with a day of exciting workshops! Participants will then have until Tuesday 1st November to complete their films, which will be screened at a premiere beginning at 5pm Saturday 19th November.
