November 2017 saw the 11th Ffilmic Festival. The Take 11 Film Challenge sponsored by Llanfylln SPAR and Llanfyllin Photography Competition sponsored by the Llanfyllin Civic Society . There were a number of entries into both and some outstanding work was created. Awards were given for the Photography Competition followed by a screening of the films made as part of the Take 11 Film Challenge. Our thanks goes to the volunteers who judged the entries and to all those who entered.

My children have grown up with Ffilmic and its been such a joy having it as part of their lives. They have endured and developed so many creative skills. It’s always a collaboration and always there are hideous technical challenges but they always learn so much each time. Thank you Arts Connection!

The Festival

Ffilmic is a Film and Photography Festival based in Llanfyllin.

We have teamed up with the Llanfyllin Society – together we capture Llanfyllin and surrounding area through the lens and share images and stories.

Ffilmic aims to encourage engagement in film-making for all ages, and increase access to independent and non-mainstream films, as well as informal film literacy education.

Take 11: Film Challenge

Our challenge to create a film within 10 days will be launched on Saturday 28th October 2017. Participants will then have until Tuesday 7th  November to complete their films, which will be screened at a premiere on Saturday 18th November.
