Arts Unite | Celf Gyfun

A partnership project between Arts Connection – Cyswllt Celf and Credu. It was an arts project with children and young people exploring diversity and inclusion with a focus on disability, race, gender identity. The project was funded by the Welsh Government Community Cohesion Programme.

Prosiect partneriaeth rhwng Arts Connection – Cyslainn Celf a Credu. Roedd yn brosiect celfyddydol gyda phlant a phobl ifanc yn archwilio amrywiaeth a chynhwysiant gyda ffocws ar anabledd, hil, hunaniaeth rhywedd. Ariannwyd y prosiect gan Raglen Cydlyniant Cymunedol Llywodraeth Cymru.

Credu opened a conversation around LGBTQ & Trans at an Engage to Change event in late 2020. A focus group was formed made up of professionals, volunteers, parents and young people with an interest in addressing the challenges and gaining an understanding of what we could do to support the LGBTQ & trans community in Powys.

Some information sharing and personal experience started the Credu focus group and then some actions were identified to look at a way of using the arts to hear the voices of representatives of the LGBTQ and Trans experience in Powys.

Agorodd Credu sgwrs o amgylch LGBTQ & Trans mewn digwyddiad Engage to Change ddiwedd 2020. Ffurfiwyd grŵp ffocws yn cynnwys gweithwyr proffesiynol, gwirfoddolwyr, rhieni a phobl ifanc sydd â diddordeb mewn mynd i’r afael â’r heriau a chael dealltwriaeth o’r hyn y gallem ei wneud. i gefnogi’r gymuned LGBTQ a thraws yn Powys.

Dechreuodd rhywfaint o rannu gwybodaeth a phrofiad personol grŵp ffocws Credu ac yna nodwyd rhai gweithredoedd i edrych ar ffordd o ddefnyddio’r celfyddydau i glywed lleisiau cynrychiolwyr y profiad LGBTQ a Trans yn Powys.

Arts Connection – Cyswllt Celf seamlessly offered Credu an opportunity to do some creative writing workshops around hate crime and difference and the Credu group extended their interest group to also explore race and disability.

A Credu outreach worker, Dux, led on bringing the sessions together over Zoom with Martin Daws, who was the artist steering the sessions.

This has been a powerful project of hearing the voices of Young Carers, families and friends who are part of the LGBTQ+ community or wanted to explore hate crime with race. If you are interested in hearing about the challenges of being different in rural Mid-Wales come and listen.

Arts Connection – Cyswllt Celf gyfle i Credu wneud rhai gweithdai ysgrifennu creadigol yn ddi-dor ynghylch troseddau casineb a gwahaniaeth ac estynnodd y grŵp Credu eu grŵp diddordeb i archwilio hil ac anabledd hefyd.

Arweiniodd gweithiwr allgymorth Credu, Dux, ar ddod â’r sesiynau ynghyd dros Zoom gyda Martin Daws, sef yr artist sy’n llywio’r sesiynau.

Mae hwn wedi bod yn brosiect pwerus o glywed lleisiau Gofalwyr Ifanc, teuluoedd a ffrindiau sy’n rhan o’r gymuned LGBTQ + neu a oedd am archwilio troseddau casineb gyda hil. Os oes gennych ddiddordeb mewn clywed am yr heriau o fod yn wahanol yng nghefn gwlad Canolbarth Cymru dewch i wrando.
