The project was led by Mid Wales Music Trust in collaboration with Sinfonia Cymru and ourselves.  It brought together storytelling, children’s composition, artwork and professional music performance through live and digital workshops and online resources.  We provided the artwork workshops with Emily Wilkinson, via a pre-recorded video and worksheets that the teachers could follow. The workshops invited the children to create paintbrushes using found materials such as grasses, feathers, sheep’s wool and seed heads. Using these they created a rich variety of artworks inspired by the story. The images were collated into a film that provided a visual backdrop for the final performances.

The artwork has been brilliant, the children have enjoyed it so much, the themes meant we could use our forest school area to work and we teachers have also got stuck in with lots of us bringing materials from home

Your generosity provided an experience that made our children very happy. I am grateful to you for helping us to kindle their love of learning
